Tucked just south of Memorial Drive and east of Kirkwood, Yorkshire is an elite neighborhood with only 158 residences. With a median square footage of more than 3700 square feet, these well kept homes rest on spacious, manicured lawns. The wide streets provide plenty of room for walkers, joggers, and bike riders.
School aged children living in Yorkshire are zoned to the newly rebuilt (2011) Meadow Wood Elementary, Spring Forest Middle School and Stratford High School. All three schools are less than 2 miles west of the neighborhood, and provide academically challenging settings. Yorkshire Academy offers a private school venue just blocks away.
Close to shopping and fine dining at both City Centre and Town & Country, entertainment is within easy reach. Memorial City Mall, only 10 minutes away, offers a theater along with a variety of stores and restaurants. While Yorkshire does not have a private pool in its neighborhood, there are several easily accessible. Memorial West Community Club, Nottingham Forest Club, Westside Tennis Club and Lakeside Country Club are all in the vicinity.
This area is served by the City of Houston Police and Fire Departments, but also offers Constable services.
