The City of Hedwig Village offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of big city life. Quietly tucked just south of I-10 and west of Voss Road, this neighborhood was incorporated in the 1950s and now boasts a multitude of million dollar homes. Additionally, Hedwig Village’s close proximity to many of Houston’s shopping and entertaining venues has kept property values strong through the years.
School-aged children attend Memorial Drive Elementary, Spring Branch Middle School and Memorial High School. All three schools have stellar reputations within the Spring Branch Independent School District. Memorial High School is renowned for its academics and athletics.
Shopping and movies can be found at Memorial City Mall, just west of Hedwig Village as well as The Galleria, located a few miles east. There are many restaurants from which to choose nearby – both fine dining, or just a casual night on the town. The Spring Branch Memorial Library and Hedwig Park, situated next door to one another, are popular venues for all age groups.
Hedwig Village is governed by a Mayor and five city council members. The Village Fire Department has earned the Insurance Service Organization (ISO) rating of “2,” which considerably lowers fire insurance.
