Friends, the holidays are finally upon us. This is such an exciting season as we gather with our loved ones to break bread and escape the stress and hustle and bustle that daily life may bring. Whether you're having a friends-giving in your home or traveling to see family, there is always a time to rest in the true meaning of this wonderful holiday- giving thanks. The moments we share with friends and family are so dear and irreplaceable. This busy season is filled with opportunities of community and fellowship. It is the time of year that symbolizes coming together and opening our hearts and homes. The table represents and embodies the sense of togetherness and welcoming our differences. This year is significant because it has been a little over a year since Hurricane Harvey devastated not only Houston, but also the surrounding areas. Today we are grateful for our family and friends and this wonderful city that we live in. We know, now more than ever, that Houston not only perseveres during a trial, but also stands strong in the meaning of community and togetherness. That is why giving thanks this holiday season shouldn't be difficult, and setting your table shouldn't be either. In the spirit of communion, we wanted to share tablescape inspiration for Thanksgiving!
We are loving these precious details. White pumpkins, fall florals, antlers and natural tones. There is definitely something special about simplicity and incorporating a rustic, but refined feel. Layering greenery with pumpkins and burlap? A must have!
Try incorporating candles and a pop of color or gold to add that extra touch of drama!
Let's get crafty!
A DIY project doesn't have to be complicated! Jazz up your mother's treasured linen napkins with twine and a touch of green. You can also create a rosemary wreath or name card to crown the place settings.
Details. Details. Details.
The smallest details can make the biggest difference. You can never go wrong by adding that extra wow factor. We love the look of layering a place setting with a placemat, linen, charger, florals and more...because one plate is just not enough!!
Create an interactive element and write a question or a sweet thanksgiving memento next to each place setting.
Personalize each place setting.
As a result, this small personal touch can be so memorable and mean so much more to your guests. Each guest will know the effort that was made and that you took time to think about each and every one of them.
It is time to take out the old photo albums!
Add that extra special touch by printing photos of each of your guests and fastening them onto a linen or placing them on each plate.
